Part of this is facilitating and supporting discussions on the importance of culturally safe trauma informed practice for Indigenous peoples who have and continue to experience many forms of violence.
With Nihkhah Qahiq Consulting, I am sharing the insight and approaches I have taken and found to be successful when working with Indigenous peoples facing these obstacles. These issues have historically transcended from decades of colonialism and racism against the Indigenous Peoples and Communities. Acknowledging the immeasurable wrong that has been done, collaborating and finding new progressive ways toward Reconciliation, and empowering Indigenous Peoples is where we start.
