Individual Consultation

I am currently offering the first 30-minute consultation for free. 

The 30 minutes includes:

  • Participant introduction
  • Clarifying the participant’s consultation needs
  • Brainstorming collaborative strategies to achieve participant goals

Group Training Sessions

Based in Alberta, I can offer on-site or virtual group training sessions in a safe, inclusive setting.

The training materials would be discussed in a consultation prior to attendance and delivery. 

Topics of Discussion

  • The importance of trauma-informed practice through Indigenous lenses
  • The importance of safety planning, support and empowerment of Indigenous Women, Girls & Two-Spirit People
  • The importance of recognizing needs of Indigenous Men & Boys and the support they require 
  • Navigating the system – addressing frustration and distrust of police, public service actors, the court system and the medical system
  • Addressing MMIWG2S Calls to Justice 9.1, 9.2, 9.7 – specifically recognizing the need for culturally appropriate trauma-informed practice, specialized training of police and police response to power-based crimes involving and impacting Indigenous Peoples
  • Addressing TRC Call for Action 36 – federal, provincial, and territorial governments to work with Aboriginal communities to provide culturally relevant services to inmates on issues such as substance abuse, family and domestic violence, and overcoming the experience of having been sexually abused
  • Research methods and strategy development for new pilot programs and training for federal, provincial and municipal police agencies, government and public sector employees and non-profit organizations who seek to proactively address barriers and strengthen relations with Indigenous Peoples
